Dear Members and Supporters:
Room reservations will not be reopening at the Hilton Chicago. We are sold out. The plan was to reopen with a limited number of rooms.
An updated count of reservations for sponsor/partner rooms, NABJ member rooms, and career fair recruiter rooms showed that the limited number of rooms we had were quickly booked.
Keep in mind that we reserved the largest number of rooms in the history of NABJ conventions. What this means is that we may have a record attendance in Chicago.
We are working on contracting an overflow hotel option. However, as many of you have done, we strongly encourage you to explore options yourselves, and book rooms when you find them available. The Lollapalooza festival is going on at the same time as our convention, so rooms in the vicinity of the host hotel are very difficult to secure.
Evidence of the high interest in the Chicago convention is manifest in the high booking rate, which includes quite a few of your companies. Thanks for your interest in #NABJ24.
