NABJ Offers Relief Fund for Members Impacted by Weather and Industry Issues
NABJ Congratulates Rashida Jones on Historic Tenure at MSNBC
01/15/2025Dear Members:
The NABJ Board is monitoring the unfortunate impact of the recent climate and weather emergencies from coast to coast. We also continue to be concerned about industrywide layoffs and hourly wage cuts our members may be experiencing.
As a result, we are opening another round of NABJ C.A.R.E.S. grants to support members in need during these uncertain times.
Over the years, through our NABJ C.A.R.E.S. program and with the help of partners and donors, we have been able to support our members in various ways during such hardships.
We are grateful to be able to step forward again and continue this program with another round of grants. As always, we stand ready to offer financial support through NABJ C.A.R.E.S. and encourage you to also take advantage of the job opportunities listed on our Career Center, NABJCareers.org, during your career transition.
If you have been experiencing hardships since November 2024 due to the following, please submit your information below, and we will review your grant application as soon as possible:
–A significant lapse in income due to layoffs or loss of wages
–A substantial loss due to climate or weather events
You must be an NABJ member in good standing to apply.
We are here for you!
Sincerely,
Ken Lemon, NABJ President
NOTE: This round of grant applications closes February 1, 2025, at midnight PT.
