The National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) is proud to host the inaugural NABJ HBCYou Training Day on Feb. 26, 2022. The NABJ HBCYou Training Day is the first major project of the NABJ HBCU Initiative, which asks alumni of HBCUs to give back by establishing or reinvigorating chapters of NABJ at HBCUs across the country. The NABJ HBCYou Training Day further expands on this goal by offering a daylong, virtual event, where students will connect with media professionals to get training in journalism and communications.
The NABJ HBCYou Training Day will offer sessions on:
- Kickstarting your career now
- Spectrum News: The art of storytelling to create impactful work
- Spectrum News: The right steps to land the first job
- Sinclair Broadcasting Group: Survival Guide for emerging journalists
- Google for Good: Training on the search engine to develop strong stories
- Using social media to land and keep a job

- HBCUs are in charge: Graduates leading major media show you how to be a boss too
